Hyderabad: The Revenue Department on Tuesday issued orders removing age restrictions for the kin of Telangana martyrs in government jobs.
District collectors would act as appointing authority in providing government jobs. Guidelines were issued to collectors in this regard. The Telangana government has also relaxed educational qualifications for these candidates and there's no age limit whatsoever.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekhara Rao has taken a decision to honour every family of those who sacrificed their lives for the cause of separate statehood. As part of this, the TRS government has decided to offer one government job for every family of Telangana martyrs. The government has already extended financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh to each family. The government will also provide other facilities such as house, free education and health insurance. Agricultural families will also get land for cultivation.
The government has also decided to give relaxation in roster points, if the candidates, those who meet all the eligibility criteria, seek junior assistant posts. The order of priority goes from spouse to children. With permission from the family, other blood relatives can also be considered for the government jobs. If needed, supernumerary posts can be created as per the new guidelines.
