Srinagar: Separatists leaders are often accused of encouraging poor and middle class children to take on security personnel in Kashmir, but their own children and other family members study or work in other parts of India or abroad, far away from the unrest in the valley.

The kin of Pakistan sympathiser and chief of radical Islamist organization Dukhtaran-e-Millat Asiya Andrabi, live abroad and lead a comfortable life. And family members of Hurriyat Conference chief Syed Ali Shah Geelani and Hizbul Mujahideen chief Syed Salahuddin have good jobs in India.

According to documents accessed by CNN-News18, Asiya Andrabi's son is doing his MBA in Australia, her brother is based in London. Her brother-in-law is settled in Pakistan and has properties in Saudi Arabia too.

Even banned terror organisation Hizbul Mujahideen and United Jehad Council chief Syed Salahuddin's near and dear ones lead a comfortable life. His son is a medical assistant at Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences in Srinagar. Another son is a Research Fellow at Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Science & Technology, the third son is a student at the SMHS Government Medical College in Srinagar and the fourth one is an M Tech Student.

Hurriyat Conference chief Syed Ali Shah Geelani's family is also well settled. His son is a practicing doctor and another son is a Jammu and Kashmir government employee working at Sher-e-Kashmir University of Science & Technology in Srinagar. His son-in-law is a journalist in New Delhi. Another son-in-law works in Saudi Arabia. Geelani's third son-in-law is a businessman and is seen as his political heir.
