PR and marketing executive, Donna Sturge, said: “Autonet is a growing business, it is one of the fastest growing businesses in the area and we need more staff to support that.

“We are looking for people who want a career. Some people think of call centres as a bit of a stop gap job before moving on to other things, but there is a lot of progression opportunities within Autonet.

“Our staff get the chance to work their way through the business and earn qualifications, we also offer a lot of staff incentives."

Most of the roles being created are in the customer service and sales departments and all of the positions will be offered on a permanent basis.

All of the company's new recruits will take part in a 10 week training course at the Autonet training academy, in Hobson Street, Burslem.Donna added: “People get put off when you say 'call centre' but we work in an enthusiastic environment. The open day was a chance for people to see exactly what we are all about.

“We want people who are committed to having a good career, we want them to be passionate about customer service and people who can demonstrate their loyalty. They also need to be lively and enthusiastic."

He said: “When I first joined the company I had just finished university. I didn't really know what I wanted to do but my brother worked in sales so I decided to give it a go.

“I started off as a renewals advisor then went on to become a team leader where I got the chance to manage my own team. Last year, I applied for my current position and I'm really enjoying it.

"It's a lot of hard work but if you are willing to put the effort in and you want to progress then Autonet gives you those opportunities."
